Shortland Street afterhours at last night’s Silo Talent Quest

barefoot-on-broken-glass.jpg

Barefoot glass walking, weird dance routines, a clarinet solo by a Grammy-award nominee and Scottish penis with a ribbon tied around it. This is just some of what was on offered last night in Auckland at the Silo Talent Quest.

The night started with some mulled wine and the realisation that at least 30% of the 30 people in attendance, were Shorty St. peeps. All drunk. All loud. All right! Jaime Passier-Armstrong and Fleur Saville, to name a few. All of that for the low, lo, price of $5.00. Best night I’ve had in a long time.

Hackman Production’s Silo Talent Quest season continues for 3 more Fridays till 20 July. So you will surely be seeing Lita and I there next week. If you got a talent or just a little ditty you want to share with the world, contact Kip Chapman at Hackman.nz@gmail.com. It’s up to you, our readers, to determine the level of entertainment for next Friday.

What should Lita perform? The old fist in the mouth trick? A backward strip tease? “Can’t Touch This” to the tune of “Ave Maria”? Possibilities are endless. I can’t wait.

Turtle v Cat – Turtle Wins!

This turtle does not like cats on his lawn.

He chases mutliple cats off, and dispels the myth that turtles are slow.  This angsty little guy really can move.  Go go Ninja Turtles.

Your Kissing Technique Is: Passionate but Aggressive

Hey, slow it down a little!

Yes, you’ve got some killer kissing moves…

But that doesn’t mean you need to show off ten minutes worth of technique in ten seconds.

Take your time. A little passion goes a long way.
